My treatment plan includes meds, which I mentioned before but I will do again.
I'm not listing drug names, because I'm not wanting anyone to go and say that such and such drug caused this or that or whatever.
I'm on:
- an antidepressant
- a mood stabilizer
- an anti-psychotic
- a tranquilizer (for sleep)
- B1
- a prenatal
- folic acid
- an ADD med
plus other, non-prescribed supplements.
Please, no matter what your condition, let your doctor know about every drug you take, even over the counter supplements, you may need to watch your levels or something else that wouldn't even come up if your doctor doesn't think it's a danger,
In addition to medicine, I see a therapist once a week, on Mondays, She is helping me change my addictive behaviors - smoking, soda, and shopping. She is also helping maintain mine and my husbands relationship as its high level and helping me identify triggers and problem areas. She's great. A good therapist is better than a good psychologist, in my opinion, if you have the choice, go with a therapist.
I also journal, now in blog form, and I process my mood everyday with an mobile app.
You have to do it all, manage your moods, your eating, your sleep, your activity, every thing has to be thought of in terms of how will this affect my condition.
